Finishing up on finding Peace of Mind, here are my last tips.
#11: Pay attention and redirect your thoughts. When I’m having negative thoughts I do what God says and I take those thoughts captive. I also purposefully change my thoughts and force myself to look at positives instead of focusing on my stress. This is an active task of the mind, but I always am more grateful and less stressed after I do this.
#12: Clear up your schedule. A few years ago I looked at how busy my life had become and decided I was only going to work and do the things that I loved doing. I was amazed at all of the things that this removed from my life. Covid gave us an opportunity to reset our busy lives, so take advantage of that and don't say yes to things that don’t improve your life’s happiness.
#13: Take a technology break. While it is nice to keep up with people on social media, it can take a toll on our mental health. It is human nature to compare our life to those on social media and this causes anxiety. Take a break and focus on the life in front of you.
#14: Pray. This is the most important thing to do. Spend time with God. Pour out your stress and anxiety to Him and then be still and allow Him to speak into your heart. He loves you and cares for you.
Always remember that Jesus is the Prince of Peace and only He can bring true peace into our lives.
